Ethical and Inclusive Labour
What is Ethical and Inclusive Labour?
Ethical and Inclusive Labour is about promoting practises which ensure equity, particularly for marginalised and disenfranchised communities. It is about advancing diversity as well as operating in a way that is ethical, inclusive, fair, respectful, and representative of the region.
Why is Ethical and Inclusive Labour important?
Ethical and Inclusive Labour is important because it is about promoting a work environment where every employee is encouraged to bring their whole selves to work every day. This is also inclusive of the surrounding communities.
This parameter can be promoted a variety of ways, such as through incorporating diverse perspectives into work, respecting employee privacy rights to upholding labour practises that are compliant with all applicable to national labour-related legislation and standards (e.g., no to child labour, respects labour rights of pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women).
